Statistical limits detect sudden change. Operational thresholds detect chronic underperformance. MetriqOne applies both — because a stable process at the wrong level is still a problem. Deming’s principle, applied here: Statistical control limits (Wheeler’s XmR) tell you whether a process is stable. They do not tell you whether the output is acceptable. A process running consistently below a CPL — Counterproductive Level — is stable and counterproductive. Both conditions are named. Both require coordinator response. The floor is set by you — based on what your cooperative needs to keep going. The chart watches for sudden changes. The floor watches for weeks that are simply not enough. You need both.

Worker fills the paper form in the field. Takes a photograph as a timestamped record. When connectivity is available, values are typed manually into the Collector. The paper copy is retained. Fill in the form. Take a photo of it. When you have signal, open the app and type the numbers in. Keep the paper — it is your proof.

This path requires no smartphone in the field. Any phone with a camera is sufficient for the photograph step. Manual entry happens when and where connectivity is available. No smartphone needed in the field. Any camera will do. Type in the numbers later when you have a connection.

Works offline — data queues locally and syncs when connection returns. Tolerance (CPL) is set per PI in the Kitchen, not on the form. The form captures truth. The Kitchen decides what is acceptable. No internet needed — the app saves everything and sends it when the signal comes back. The floor for each number is set by the coordinator, not the worker.
